Some people are lucky enough to know what they want to do early in life. Others need time to find their niche. That was certainly the case with George Brick. As a teenager, George says he tried several different industries before finding his life’s work.

“When I started high school, I took what was called the Occupational Entry Course. The idea was to send students out to various businesses for work experience,” says George. “I tried all sorts of things, but I wasn’t really satisfied with any of them until I got placement at Pembina Auto Body. I knew from the first day that I didn’t want to go anywhere else.”

George stayed with Pembina Auto Body all the way through high school. He was eventually taken on as a paid employee, and continued to work there for the following six years.

In 1978, George made the decision to strike out on his own. Together, he and then-partner Bob Koroscil founded Eastside Collision. “In the beginning it was a two man operation,” says George. “The business grew slowly but steadily. In the early 90’s I bought out Bob and continued to move forward on my own.”

Today, Eastside Collision employs over 200 individuals. What keeps customers coming back - and draws new ones in - is our unique triple-mandate of straightforward communication, guaranteed repairs, and industry-leading customer convenience.

George and his wife Lynn have since retired with the Brick family succeeding as the owner / operators of Eastside Collision Repairs, Eastside Industrial Coatings, Eastside Heavy Truck Collision, Moray Autobody and Zone Refinish.
